대구대학교 교무처 교무팀에서는 재학생들에게 재미있고 즐거운 영어학습의 기회를 제공하고자 아래와 같이 「 2026 English Presentation Contest」 실시하오니 관심 있고 재능 있는 재학생 여러분의 많은 참여 바랍니다.
1. 일 시 : 2026.11.20.(금) 14:00 - 17:00 (참가 인원에 따라 조기 종료 가능)
2. 장 소 : 디자인예술5관 DU Global Lounge
3. 대 상 : 학부 재학생 (8학기 초과자 제외)
4. 방 법 : 아래 주제 중 하나를 선택하여 영어로 약 7분간 파워포인트를 이용하여 Presentaion 실시

Topics — Fall 2026 1. Are We More Connected Than Ever, Yet More Lonely Than Ever? We can message anyone in the world, make online friends, and share every moment of our lives. But does technology bring us closer together, or can it leave us feeling more isolated? Explore how technology affects friendships, relationships, and everyday life. You might consider loneliness on campus, digital fatigue, or how we make friends today. Use personal stories, surprising examples, or unexpected perspectives to challenge the audience's assumptions. What, if anything, should we change? 2. Human vs. AI: Put It to the Test Can AI tell a better joke, write a more convincing love letter, create a better design, or solve an everyday problem better than a human? Choose a challenge, conduct your own experiment, present the results, and let the audience judge. Try a live demonstration, compare human and AI creations, or invite the audience to vote. Unexpected results, funny failures, and surprising AI mistakes can make great presentations, too! 3. What Do People Get Completely Wrong About My Generation? Challenge stereotypes about Gen Z, from work ethic and relationships to money, technology, and ambition. Explore what older generations misunderstand about young people, or compare stereotypes about Gen Z in Korea with those in other countries. Use personal stories, interviews, humor, or surprising evidence to examine what people get wrong—and whether any stereotypes have some truth to them. Challenge the audience's assumptions! 4. An Unpopular Opinion I'm Willing to Defend Pick an opinion that might surprise, amuse, or divide your audience. Maybe university grades matter less than people think, being busy is overrated, or group projects are actually useful. Make a convincing case, anticipate objections, and see if you can change people's minds. Be bold, be creative, and have fun with it! The goal is to persuade your audience, not simply to provoke them. 5. If I Could Redesign One Thing About the World Identify one thing about everyday life that is inefficient, frustrating, unfair, or simply ridiculous. It could be the education system, dating, public transportation, university registration, campus cafeteria queues, or an everyday social convention. Propose a better alternative and convince us it would work. No idea is too small—a clever solution to an everyday problem can be just as compelling as a big idea. Creative solutions, prototypes, and humor are welcome! |

- 제출서류 : 참가신청서, 프렌젠테이션 원고(발표원고 및 발표 녹음파일, 파워포인트 자료) 각 1부

7. 기타사항
- 참가자 현황에 따라 시상내역이 다소 조정될 수 있음
- 본선진출자에게는 본교 원어민 교원의 대회준비 개별레슨 기회를 제공함
- 참가자 본인의 창작 원고로 발표, 참가자 원고의 일부라도 표절로 인정될 경우 참가 자격 제한 및 시상이 취소됨
